POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Gilfus Education Group is experiencing unprecedented growth across all of its strategic and tactical consulting services offerings.  As a result, the group seeks exceptional consultative sales and market development professionals who possess a proven track record of working collaboratively to identify major market opportunities, develop comprehensive capture strategies and in closing high six or seven figure strategic consulting sales opportunities for maximum revenue gain and client value.

The Sales Executive must be able to:

  • Work collaboratively with the current account teams who manage our existing install base to identify sales leads and opportunities.
  • Assist in the market development and marketing efforts which generate sales leads for strategic consulting.
  • Develop and execute on detailed capture strategies for complex deals involving a cross-functional delivery team.
  • Provide consistent, high-touch sales support to clients during a strategic consulting engagement.
  • Ensure delivery of a consistent value messaging that ensures the client views the Gilfus Education Group as a strategic partner, and position us for more consulting services moving forward.
  • Provide market and client feedback to inform and shape new and innovative solutions that can be brought to market.
  • This person will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales.

 

Required  Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education or Technology related area required.
  • Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience, with proven leadership and performance attainment.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive, consulting sales experience or the equivalent consulting and sales skills at executive levels required.
  • Complex technical sales experience in the strategic consulting business required, ideally within the education or government sector.
  • Ability to interact at all levels of an organization (from functional lead to executive); proven ability to establish strategic initiatives for large high-value client relationships.
  • The proven ability to develop and capture single opportunities in the high 6 or 7 figures.
  • Familiarity with disciplined  implementation methodologies , root cause analysis, industry standards or certification processes, technology and operations risk management, profitability management, capital and budget planning, and financial modeling/review.
  • Ability to establish a clear and understandable vision to clients, get buy-in from all levels of a client organization, and develop capture plans to successfully execute against that vision.
  • Possess and continue to build a network among the technology and enterprise software community.

  • Willing to travel up to 75% of the time; candidates must be based in continental in US.

Preferred Skills:

  • Preference given to advanced degree candidates.
  • Consulting sales experience in the Education and or Government sector highly preferred.
