The Gilfus Education Group is seeking an experienced financial management professional with at least 10 years of experience as a corporate controller and five years of experience in public accounting. Certified Public Accountant with extensive knowledge and practical application of Generally Accepted Principles (GAAP).
Job Description
Manage the accounting department and accounting practices, including product costs, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions. Directs financial strategy, planning and forecasts. Supervises investments  and raising of the funds for business. Studies, analyzes and reports on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
- Cost accounting
- Financial reporting to management team on a monthly basis
- Great Plains Dynamics (Microsoft)
- Ability to manage accounting department
- Cash flow management
- Negotiating contracts with banks, insurance companies etc.
- Review checks, deposits and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial reporting package for review by Corporate Accountant
- Payroll processing
- State and Federal Sales tax and income tax compliance and filing requirements
 Requirements
- Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
- Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, and the ability to lead by example
- Good communication skills, written and verbal, required
- Ability to supervise, train, and manage accounting processes
- Must have a solid understanding of policies and procedures in order to implement it to staff. Tactfulness and finesse required at all times
- Minimum of 10 years as corporate controller and five years of public accounting
- Manufacturing experience a must.
- Must be competent in all the Microsoft applications, Excel, Access, Project and Outlook
- CPA certified
