POSITION DESCRIPTION  Gilfus Education Group is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Sales Associate to build a pipeline within targeted accounts and specific education industry verticals.

• Work as part of a growing and entrepreneurial sales team
• Follow up on inbound sales inquiries and report back to the VP of Sales and Marketing
• Perform prospecting and sales development functions to build a pipeline within targeted accounts and specific education industry verticals
• Coordinate, track and report lead generation efforts
• Qualify sales leads based upon lead qualification criteria definitions
• Provide weekly activity report to management
• Update lead and prospect information in Salesforce CRM

  Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor's preferred
• At least one year of lead qualification experience including outbound prospecting to key Director and executives at Fortune class companies
• Proven ability to achieve measurable sales goals while entry and management of lead data in a CRM system is required
• Ability to work in a high energy, sales team environment
• Proven ability to learn quickly and independently and to work in a technically complex environment
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Access or other database skills a plus.
• Experience within either Higher Education, K12 or corporate education markets is a plus.

  This position is located at our Education Research Center in Fairfax, Virginia.   The Sales Associate position is a vital member of our team and must be able to work in our offices in Fairfax, VA; therefore we are only interested in candidates in the Washington, DC metro area. The Gilfus Education Group provides independent strategic, research and implementation consulting expertise to the education industry, investors in the education industry and companies who serve education. These include K-12, Higher Education and corporate education/training.
