• Lifelong learning is quickly becoming a cornerstone of our higher education system. There is a growing need to provide new capabilities to power the work force while meeting the dynamic needs of today’s 21st century student.
• The most competitively successful lifelong learning providers will be those that figure out how to help all varieties of lifelong learners, including those who need to learn just-in-time and all- the-time to fulfill personal and/or job-related needs.
• Research has shown that only about 15 percent of higher education students still fit the traditional definition of young adults age 18 to 22 who live on campus and go to school full time
