Gilfus Advisors reaches 175th member on Sept 10th, 2012!

During the past week, the following distinguished professionals have been admitted to the Network:

Dr. Hisham Nofal – Senior Consultant, Dubai Knowledge Village

Dr. Nofal is a higher education consultant with a geographic focus in the UAE and Middle East. In 2001, Hisham earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Texas Tech University. Dr. Nofal has helped international higher education providers establish a presence in Dubai and the UAE free zones and has experience on both the academic and administrative sides of international program development.

Marc Intrator – Managing Consultant, West Monroe Partners

Marc Intrator is a seasoned manager with background in financial services and, more recently, a successful track record of institutional IT assessment and advisory services. Marc received his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business in 1994 and has since assumed several management positions across different industries. He is currently a Senior Manager at West Monroe Partners where he focuses on growing the company’s education vertical.

Kelly Hagan – Mathematics Teacher and Assessment Coach, Fairfax County Public Schools

Kelly Hagan is a Mathematics teacher and Assessment Coach at Fairfax County Public Schools. In 2007, Kelly received her M.A.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech, where she also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Kelly has taught algebra, geometry, and precalculus and has led various school projects. In her role as Assessment Coach, Kelly plans and administers standardized tests, provides data and analysis to administrators, and serves as a liaison between the school and the Office of Student Testing.

Akshat Shukla – Regional Representative, Paul Capital Partners

Akshat Shukla is a Regional Representative with Paul Capital Partners, based in Delhi, India, and also the Campus Director for the Meridian International School of Business. He received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2006 and is also a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) Charter Holder. He has managed the India investment strategy for Adveq Management AG, Zurich, worked in Leveraged Finance at ING Bank, and worked as a Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, India.

Arlene “Maggie” Gibbs – Senior eLearning Graphic Designer, The Bowen Group

Maggie is an eLearning veteran with expertise in the design and development of eLearning solutions. In 1998, Maggie received her Bachelor’s in Graphic Design from UMBC. Since then, she has worked with many technologies to design multi-media applications, user interfaces, and custom content. Maggie has provided graphic design services to both large corporations and Federal agencies, alike. In her current role at The Bowen Group, Maggie is designing web-based courses for The Department of Defense. Check out Maggie’s portfolio on her website:

Loura Hall – Graphic Designer, The Bowen Group

Loura is a Graphic Designer at The Bowen Group where she leverages her skills and experiences as a web technologist to develop and implement online courses. She will receive her M.A. in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in May of 2013. Prior to joining The Bowen Group, Loura was a Web Applications Developer for the American College of Radiology. Loura currently works with a development team at The Bowen Group to design, develop, and implement online courses, tutorials, videos, and other web-based educational products for The Department of Defense.
